Are you a person with a disability? Are you working, without health benefits, or are you worried about going to work for fear of losing your health benefits? You may be eligible for the Medicaid Buy-In for Working People with Disabilities, which offers Medicaid coverage to people with disabilities who are working and earning more than the allowable limits for regular Medicaid.
To qualify for the MBI-WPD program, you must be a resident of New York State, between the ages of 16-64, and have a disability as defined by the Social Security Administration. You must be engaged in paid work (full-time or part-time) and have resources that do not exceed the Medicaid resource level of $13,800 for an individual or $20,100 for a couple.

The Institute for Human Services has received funding to promote the MBI-WPD through New York Makes Work Pay.
